With ten urban day spas up and down the coast of California, Burke Williams’ has been a leading innovator in the day spa industry since the opening of their flagship Santa Monica location in 1984. Constantly setting the bar for innovation and guest service, Burke Williams is partnering with Body Bliss to integrate an inclusive, personalized aromatherapy program in their new properties. Upon entry into the spa lobby at Burke Williams new Topanga location, a large built-in aromatherapy bar features iPads loaded with the Intentional Aromatherapy App. Highly trained alchemists are available in the lobby at all times. These personal aromatherapy consultants supplement the App’s detailed descriptions, providing recommendations based on guest feedback. Undergoing education internally and with Body Bliss, these expert therapists also receive ongoing training.
“Our number one goal is to enable our guests to engage in unique and personalized experiences. We had been discussing the addition of a program to provide a higher level of personalization for years; so we were excited to find Body Bliss. The Intentional Aromatherapy App provides a turnkey solution to create a 100% tailored program. We didn’t have to overthink it,” said Diane Hibbard, Vice President of Treatments and Development at Burke Williams.
“We are partnering with Body Bliss on the same customized aromatherapy bar concept in our new Hollywood location,” adds Hibbard. The Aromatherapy Bar takes up a big footprint; we want it to be a focal point. The experience is tactile, inclusive and inviting.”
Body Bliss products from the International Aromatherapy line are also featured in The Garden Room, where guests are treated to 15-20 minute “enhancement” services at the Topanga location. Guests can choose from foot & leg, scalp & neck, hand & arm, and anti-aging.
