Complexions founder Denise Dubois, a clinical esthetician and entrepreneur, is committed to using only 100% natural and organic products in the spa. She is a true believer in the power of pure essential oils for their therapeutic benefit and sensory experience. Body Bliss has been working with Complexions to make aromatherapy a thread that weaves through every element of the spa.
In Denise’s words: “Our sense of smell is the strongest memory trigger out of all five senses. Body Bliss founder, Nick James, worked with Denise to create three signature essential oil blends with specific therapeutic benefits, honoring indigenous botanicals from the local region.
Serenity – Clary Sage, Spearmint, and Peppermit
Uplift – Lime, Sweet Orange, and Ylang-Ylang
Ease – Lavender, Peppermint and Bay Laurel
Travel kits are available for home care containing specific products for each of the three core blends, including lotion, cream, bath salts, body butter, balm, roll-ons and soy candles. Complexions emphasizes the importance of home care to combat stress, the common denominator in many of their clients’ chronic conditions, including anxiety, depression, digestive issues, headaches, sleep problems and weight gain.
Body Bliss’ Intentional Aromatherapy App is used in the “Aromatic Alchemy” massage treatments, and also for events and groups. At Christmas time, they sold travel size unscented base products. The hang-tag invited the recipient to come into the spa to customize their product.
