Essential Oil of the Month: Clary Sage
Earthy, musky, euphoric and intoxicating, Clary sage is sometimes referred to as “The oil of female creativity” or “sacred femininity” because of its value in women’s issues, though men love it for its deep, earthy, calming scent.
Also sometimes known as the “Oil of Clarity and Vision,” Clary sage (Salvia sclarea) received its Latin name from the word clarus, meaning “clear” obtained from its historic use in clearing the eyes, leading to yet another nickname from the Middle Ages, “Clear Eye.” Its genus name, Salvia, derives from the Latin word loosely translated as to “save” or “heal.”
The association with clear vision refers not only to the physical eye, but to the Third Eye as well, enabling clear visions, clairvoyance, intuition, and creativity. It is said to support spiritual practices like vision quests and lucid dreaming, facilitating the ability to see through illusions and view the world from a clearer perspective
Not to be confused with her more pungent-smelling cousins in the sage family, Clary sage offers properties which are different than other sages and may be of particular benefit for women.

DIY Clary Sage Blend For Meditation and Prayer:
3 drops of Clary sage
2 drops Bergamot
2 drop Lavender
1 drops of Frankincense
