Unique Wellness Brand Combines Chinese Medicine, CBD, and Now, Essential Oils!
We are excited to be working with Dragon Hemp in Sag Harbor, NY. The wellness brand has a unique approach of incorporating CBD into Chinese Medicine formulas, creating practitioner-formulated tinctures, balms and gummies designed to treat specific conditions. Recently, Dragon Hemp worked with Body Bliss to develop a line of liniments with full-spectrum CBD and proprietary blends of essential oils.
Launched in September, the liniments are designed in four distinct categories: Desert, Mountain, Ocean, and Forest—called “biomes.” With 12 products total, each biome is available in hydrating creme, oil and lotion. The liniments are designed to fight inflammation caused by elemental exposure.
The essential oil blend for each biome creates distinctive experiences that activate the senses.
Invigorating Mountain Liniments encapsulate the restorative essence of high peaks and alpine breezes with essential oils of Lemon Peel and Bergamot mixed with rich Vetiver and spicy Black Pepper, balanced by calm Rosewood and Douglas Fir.
Serene Ocean Liniments calms mind and spirit with essential oils of Pink Grapefruit, Lemon Eucalyptus, Bergamot Mint, Coriander and Ylang Ylang.
Nourishing Desert Liniments rebalance and restore with essential oils of Prickly Pear's, Juniper Berries, Cedarwood and Lavender.
Refreshing Forest Liniments unite the spirit with nature Douglas Fir, sacred Hinoki, Vetiver, and Lemon Peel.
Kevin Menard, LAc, a Sports Medicine Acupuncturist with a range of expertise in alternative health solutions, is the visionary behind Dragon Hemp. He launched the products after more than a decade of running his own acupuncture clinic in the Hamptons.
“In my practice, I've Integrated herbs used in Traditional Chinese Medicine for better outcomes. After extensive research, I integrated CBD into my clinic and saw great results, for conditions like pain, anxiety, and sleep. In 2008, I realized I could improve on my patient’s outcomes if I blended CBD with Chinese herbs for specific conditions. What resonated with me was the anti-inflammation properties of CBD, which works not only in the tissue but also in the central nervous system. Inflammation in the central nervous system causes symptoms like anxiety and difficulty sleeping, and GI disharmony. CBD reduces systemic inflammation. I started creating formulations using Chinese herbs that actually tasted good and were effective.”

The new liniments have been flying off the shelf at Dragon Hemp. The synergy effects of the full-spectrum CBD with targeted essential oils bring customers therapeutic benefits—for the skin and also for overall well-being.
