The location of Sonoma Mission Inn was considered sacred healing ground by Native Americans, who first discovered the hot mineral springs. Commercial development began in the late 1840’s. The original spa opened more than 20 years ago, and is one of the largest and best in the U.S.—voted one of the top 25 spas by Conde Nast Traveler.
With 30 treatment rooms and every amenity you can dream of, Willow Stream Spa at Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn is an ideal weekend getaway for the sophisticated, discerning traveler, as well as fun-seeking millennials, snapchatting poolside.
As you would expect, water takes center stage at this spa. Pools and hot tubs, fed by historic local hot springs, surround the public space and a special couples’ treatment room is outfitted with a two-person copper bathtub. The signature bathing ritual includes an exfoliating shower, dips in two mineral-water soaking pools, an herbal steam room, Himalayan dry salt sauna, and experiential rain tunnel fed by the mineral water from the pool.
The Body Bliss Aroma Design Bar is a recent addition to the Willow Stream Spa at Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn. Spa Director Alison Abbott is integrating unique programs with the Aroma Design Bar and Intentional Aromatherapy App—catering to individuals and groups craving authentic experiences that are also therapeutic and healing.
Alison is especially excited to integrate the Aroma Design Bar into corporate meetings—offering a complimentary visit the spa boutique to make their own aromatherapy blend. In addition to attendees taking home a custom aromatherapy lotion, body butter or scrub, they receive an email or print-out of their personal blend to re-order.
