Property Profile: Palo Verde Spa & Apothecary at Andaz Scottsdale
It’s truly special when we get to partner with a property from day one. We have had the privilege of working with the amazing Andaz Scottsdale Resort & Bungalows since they opened in 2017. Situated on 23-acres with spectacular views of Camelback Mountain, Andaz Scottsdale deeply resonates with our Southwestern roots.
Body Bliss is seamlessly integrated throughout the Palo Verde Spa and Apothecary. The spa chose Turquoise Sage, Ocean Dew, Prickly Pear and Tree of Life products from our Native Botanicals line—clearly a natural fit for the Sonoran Desert. We also co-developed Palo Verde’s signature Orange Souffle body care products for use in the treatment room and sale in the retail boutique. The spa also does custom blending with our Aroma Design Bar, both in and out of the spa.
We asked Ellie Stefano, Spa and Wellbeing Manager at Palo Verde, the “secret sauce” of why partnering with Body Bliss has been so successful.

Aroma Design Bar
Palo Verde is also “hitting it out of the park” with our Aroma Design Bar. In addition to using the bar to custom-design retail products and treatment experiences, the bar is cross promoted throughout the resort. The resort also promotes the spa and Aroma Design Bar in-room by offering a coupon for a complimentary custom crystal infused roll-on, to be redeemed in the spa. There is even a Crystal Infusion blending class on their wellbeing program calendar!
Ellie elaborates on how they use the Aroma Design Bar to improve the guest experience and get more exposure for the spa.
“The Aromatherapy Design Bar is a unique feature at our Spa that seamlessly integrates into our daily resort activities. Guests are invited to participate in experiences like a personalized Crystal Infused Perfume Creation and group activities where guests can create custom scrubs, body butters, massage oils, and as part of private wellbeing sessions. VIP guests at resort check-in receive a special voucher inviting them to visit the spa to create their own sleep-focused aromatherapy shea butter, ensuring they enjoy a restful night’s sleep.
Our guests are thrilled by the endless customization possibilities offered by the Aromatherapy Design Bar. We love exploring the world of aromatherapy together with our guests. Our treatments, such as the Soul Essence Massage, Desert Ritual Body Treatment, and Sonoran Scrub Body Treatment, are specifically designed to highlight these customization options.
